Who each one is for

Two AI tools for one Google profile.Built for different jobs.

Both put an AI on your Google Business Profile. Paige reaches further across the web; Rank Pilot stays on the profile and the map.

Merchynt’s Paige

Paige is sold as an AI employee for local SEO. According to Merchynt, it optimises the profile, publishes Google posts, answers reviews, uploads geotagged photos, tracks rank on heatmaps and sends a monthly report, on autopilot or with your approval.

It also reaches beyond Google: social posts, videos, a website it can build and host, and citations across 62 directories as a $40 add-on. Merchynt runs an agency partner programme with white-label tools, so many profiles are managed by an agency.

Rank Pilot

Rank Pilot is for the owner of one business, or a few, who wants the weekly Google Maps upkeep done and to see each piece before it goes out. It drafts a reply to every review and one post a week, and you save them.

Each week it checks your rank from 25 points across your area and watches nearby competitors. Each month it runs a full audit and checks whether ChatGPT, Gemini and Google’s AI answers mention you. It does not touch your website, social accounts or directories.

Where Paige wins

Where Merchynt does more.Said plainly.

If any of these is the job you are hiring for, Paige is the better fit, and Rank Pilot will not pretend otherwise.

  • Citations across 62 directories

Merchynt’s citation add-on, listed at $40 a month, creates or updates listings in 62 directories and syncs them when your Google profile changes. Rank Pilot does not build citations.

  • Review invitations by link and QR code

Paige invites customers to leave a review through links, QR codes and automated follow-ups, and flags negative reviews. Rank Pilot replies to the reviews you get; it does not invite customers to write them.

  • A website, social posts and video

Paige can build and host a multi-page website, post to Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, and publish videos to YouTube and TikTok. Rank Pilot stays on your Google Business Profile.

  • Agency white label and a Chrome extension

Merchynt’s agency programme, $100 a month per agency, adds white-label audits and heatmap reports. Its ProfilePro Chrome extension also drafts answers to questions on a profile. Rank Pilot has no agency plan and does not answer Q&A.

Where Rank Pilot wins

Where Rank Pilot fits better. For an owner who checks the work.

One plan at $79 a month per location, with the weekly Google Maps work shown before anything goes live.

  • A week to judge it, without a card

Rank Pilot’s trial runs 7 days and asks for no card. Merchynt lists a 3-day trial for Paige, and its billing guide says the trial costs $1 and is then billed at $99 per profile.

  • Every reply passes through you

Rank Pilot checks for new reviews every 4 hours and drafts a reply to each. You save it; with Autopilot on, a saved reply goes out on its own 2 hours later, so you can still change your mind.

  • The same 25 points, every week

Your rank is measured from 25 points across your area each week, next to the competitors around you: their rank, rating, review count, photos, primary category and what changed since last time.

  • A Monday email and a monthly audit

Every Monday an email tells you what changed. Once a month a full audit of the profile lands in the app, along with a check of what ChatGPT, Gemini and Google’s AI answers say about you.

How to switch

Moving from Paige to Rank Pilot.Four steps, one afternoon.

Your Google Business Profile belongs to you, not to Merchynt or to us, so switching is a matter of who has access to it.

Switching from Merchynt
  1. 1Check your map firstRun the scan to see where you rank today from 25 points, so you have a baseline that does not depend on either tool.
  2. 2Start the Rank Pilot trialConnect the Google account that manages the profile. The 7-day trial starts without a card.
  3. 3Turn Paige off for that locationCancel the Paige profile in Merchynt and remove its access in Google, so two tools are not replying to the same reviews or posting twice in one week.
  4. 4Keep the citations in mindIf you used Merchynt’s citation add-on, those listings stay where they are. Keep your name, address and phone the same everywhere; Merchynt’s page notes that keeping them accurate is up to you.

Straight answers

Merchynt and Paige, answered. Before you change tools.

  • How much does Merchynt’s Paige cost?

Merchynt’s pricing page lists Paige at $99 a month per business location, each billed separately, as of October 2026. Citations are a separate add-on listed at $40 a month, and accounts with more profiles are directed to sales for custom pricing.

  • Is there a contract with Merchynt?

Merchynt says there is no contract and you can cancel anytime. Its billing guide adds that cancelling one of several profiles leaves a prorated credit, while cancelling your last profile leaves none.

  • Is Rank Pilot a good Paige alternative?

It is if you want the Google profile looked after weekly and want to save each reply and post yourself. If you need citations, a website, social posting or a white-label plan for an agency, Paige covers more of that.

  • Does Rank Pilot answer Google Q&A like Merchynt’s tools?

No. Profile Q&A is not part of Rank Pilot; Merchynt’s ProfilePro extension drafts those answers, and Paige uploads geotagged photos on a schedule. Rank Pilot replies to reviews, drafts a weekly post, checks rank and competitors, and audits the profile monthly.

  • Can I try both before deciding?

Yes. Merchynt lists a 3-day trial for Paige, and Rank Pilot has a 7-day trial with no card. Just avoid running both on one profile at once, or two tools will answer the same reviews.
