Who each tool is for

Two tools, two buyers.Pick by the job, not the logo.

Birdeye and Rank Pilot both touch your Google reviews, but they are built for different businesses and priced that way.

Birdeye

Birdeye is a customer-experience platform: invitations to review sent by text and email, one inbox for webchat, texts, email, voicemail and Google, Instagram and Facebook messages, and listings pushed to 50+ sites, depending on plan.

It suits multi-location brands and busy front desks that want messaging, reviews and listings under one contract, with someone on staff to run it. Birdeye quotes each deal through sales, per location.

Rank Pilot

Rank Pilot is an AI agent for one Google Business Profile. It drafts a reply to every new review and a post every week, checks your rank from 25 points weekly, and emails you on Monday with what changed.

It suits the owner of a dental clinic, salon or garage who wants the Google Maps upkeep done without a platform to manage. One plan, no contract, a 7-day trial without a card.

Where Birdeye wins

Birdeye does more. Some of it you may need.

If one of these four is the reason you are looking, Birdeye is the stronger choice, and its price reflects it.

  • Invitations to review, by text and email

Birdeye invites customers to leave a review by text or email: one at a time from the dashboard or its app, in bulk to a contact list, or automatically from your customer system. Rank Pilot never contacts your customers.

  • One inbox for every message

Birdeye’s Inbox gathers webchat, texts, email, voicemail and Google, Instagram and Facebook messages in one place, so a team can answer them together. Rank Pilot has no inbox and no webchat.

  • Listings beyond Google

Birdeye pushes your name, hours and details to its network of 50+ sites, depending on plan, Apple Maps and Bing among them. Rank Pilot works on your Google Business Profile only and builds no citations.

  • Built for many locations

Birdeye prices four or more locations as a custom Premium deal, and its AI Search reports visibility location by location. A chain with a marketing team gets more from that than from a single-profile agent.

Where Rank Pilot wins

Less to run.Less to sign.

For one location that needs its Google profile kept up, Rank Pilot costs $79 a month and does the weekly work itself.

  • A price you can read before a call

Rank Pilot shows one plan on its site, the same for every business, and each extra location costs the same. Birdeye quotes through sales; third parties report $299–449 per location a month, billed annually.

  • No term to wait out

Rank Pilot has a 7-day trial without a card and no contract; you cancel from your account. Birdeye is reported to sign 12-month terms that renew on their own, with 90 days’ written notice and an 8% renewal fee.

  • A rank grid every week

Rank Pilot checks where you appear from 25 points around your business every week, next to your competitors’ rank, rating, review count, photos and primary category. We found no map grid in Birdeye’s plans.

  • Drafted work, not a to-do list

Each new review gets a drafted reply and each week a drafted post; you save them. With Autopilot, on by default, a saved reply goes out two hours later. A full audit runs monthly in the app.

How to switch

Moving takes a week.Your Birdeye term sets the date.

Nothing in Rank Pilot depends on Birdeye, so you can run both during the trial and decide on what you see.

From Birdeye to Rank Pilot
  1. 1Find your renewal dateLook up when your Birdeye term ends and the notice it asks for. Reports put it at 90 days in writing, so read your own order form.
  2. 2Measure where you rank todayScan your business before changing anything, so you have a 25-point baseline to compare against once Rank Pilot has run a few weeks.
  3. 3Start the 7-day trialConnect your Google Business Profile. Rank Pilot pulls your reviews, drafts the replies and runs its first full audit in the app.
  4. 4Keep only what you still useIf texting customers or webchat matters to you, keep a tool for that job. If the Google profile was the point of Birdeye, Rank Pilot covers it.

Straight answers

Birdeye questions, answered. With the sources named.

  • How much does Birdeye cost?

Birdeye lists no prices on its pricing page; its sales team quotes each plan. As of October 2026, third-party reports put Starter at $299, Growth at $349 and Dominate at $449 per location a month, billed annually, with custom pricing from four locations.

  • Does Birdeye have a contract or extra fees?

Reports describe a 12-month term that renews by itself unless you give 90 days’ written notice, and no trial. Customers also report an 8% fee at renewal, onboarding of $500–1,500 per location and a $100 a month mass-texting add-on.

  • Is Rank Pilot a good Birdeye alternative?

For one local business whose goal is its Google profile, yes: replies drafted, a weekly post, rank and competitors tracked. If you rely on Birdeye for texting customers, webchat or listings on other sites, Rank Pilot does not replace those.

  • Can Rank Pilot invite customers to review, as Birdeye does?

No. Rank Pilot does not text, email or otherwise contact your customers. It works on the reviews you already get: each one is pulled every four hours and gets a drafted reply for you to save.

  • Does either tool check AI answers?

Both do. Birdeye’s AI Search covers ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and more, per location. Rank Pilot checks once a month whether ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI answers mention you, inside the same plan.
