For auto repair shops and garages
Drivers do not doubt your work. They doubt the invoice.
They search “mechanic near me”, weigh distance against review count, then read what you said to the one who complained about a bill. Run the free scan and see which streets you show up on.
Why auto repair is different
One search, one shortlist, and the one-star reviews decide it.
Nobody plans to need a mechanic. The clutch goes on the way to work, the phone comes out at the roadside, and a garage gets picked in one search.
Two things get compared: how far away you are, and how many people have reviewed you. Then, because it is a garage, they open the one-star reviews and read every word.
Everyone has heard the story about the bill that doubled. So the driver is not checking whether you are good at the job. They are checking whether you are straight. Ten more five-star ratings do not answer that. One calm, specific reply does.
Dean R.
Quoted me one price on the phone and the invoice came back higher. The car drives fine now, but I did not expect to be arguing about it at the counter.
Dean, you are right to raise it. A quote should not move without a call first, and you did not get that call. I would rather go through the invoice with you than argue it here. Ask for me by name.
A constructed example, labelled as one. The reply never disputes the invoice in public, never blames the driver and never names a figure — the money moves to a phone call.
Rank Pilot works the counter while you are under a car.
Rank Pilot is an AI agent, and all it does is get local businesses found on Google Maps. For a garage that means naming every repair you carry out and answering the reviews a driver reads before they dial.
The work starts with the bad reviews. The one about the invoice gets a drafted reply the same day, in your voice, that keeps the figure off the public side of your listing.
The rest is the profile itself. Every repair you take goes on it by name, because the part is what gets typed. Every car you hand back gets asked for a review at the counter.
Nothing goes public under your name until you have read it — two taps between jobs, on the phone in your pocket.
What it put right on the profile
Constructed exampleProfile named the trade, not the jobs
Clutch, cambelt, brakes and diagnostics added
Primary category read “Car dealer”
Switched to “Auto repair shop”
Phone number differed from the one on your invoices
Matched across every listing
Public holiday hours never set
Closures added to the calendar
Newest photo of the workshop was two years old
Ramps, bays and the counter uploaded
Three questions from drivers unanswered
All three answered
- 01
Names every job
Cambelt, clutch, diagnostics and the rest, each one a search of its own.
- 02
Answers the bill review
The one about the estimate gets a calm reply the same day, not a fortnight later.
- 03
Asks at handover
While the keys are still on the counter and the car sounds right.
- 04
Keeps you open on Google
Hours, holiday closures, walk-ins. Nobody calls a shop Google says is shut.
What it does
Six jobs a day, none of them on your ramps.
The same agent, in a garage’s world.
- 1
Reads the map from the roadside, not the yard
The scan asks Google from 49 points, because the answer changes street by street. Top of your estate is not top of the ring road.
- 2
Lists the jobs, not just the trade
Diagnostics, brake replacement, clutch, cambelt, air conditioning, MOT or inspection, tyres. Each is a search of its own.
- 3
Asks every customer at handover
The request goes out as the driver pulls off the forecourt, while the repair is still the thing they are thinking about.
- 4
Answers the review about the bill
Same day, in your voice, without arguing about an invoice in public.
- 5
Watches the chains, not only the other independents
You hear when the national branch or the franchised dealer in your result lists a job you do.
- 6
Counts the cars, not the clicks
Once a month, one page: calls from Maps, taps for directions, new reviews. A direction request is a car already moving towards you.
What actually happens, and when
Week one is visible on your profile. Month three is where the map moves.
Week one
Profile rebuilt: every job listed by name, the category corrected, hours right. Review requests going out at handover.
All of it visible on your own profile. You can check every item yourself.
Month three
Where the map usually starts to change, as recent reviews and named services build up together.
Usually. Not always, and never guaranteed by us.
Nobody can make it faster, and anyone who promises to is lying to you.
What changes before the car reaches your ramp.
None of this is about how well you fix cars. It is about what a driver sees first.
How it goes now
- You turn up for “mechanic near me” and not much else.
- The one-star review about an estimate sits unanswered, and new customers open it first.
- The happy customers just drive off. The one angry about a bill goes home and writes.
- A stranded driver picks whoever looks closer and better reviewed, and you never know it happened.
With Rank Pilot
- Clutch, cambelt and diagnostics listed by name, so the driver searching the part can reach you.
- A calm reply the same day, in your voice, approved by you before it posts.
- Every customer asked at handover, automatically, while the car still sounds right.
- 49 points on the map, so you can see where that pick goes to somebody else.
Rank Pilot never writes a review, never buys one, and never offers a driver anything in exchange for one.

Straight answers
The questions garages actually ask.
Will it argue with customers about the bill?
No. A drafted reply never disputes the invoice in public, never blames the driver, and never quotes a price. It says what you will do and moves the rest to a phone call. You read every reply before it posts.
Can I list clutch, diagnostics and tyres as separate services?
Yes, and you should. Google lets you name your services one by one, and drivers search them by name. “Clutch replacement near me” and “car diagnostics near me” are separate searches with separate top threes.
We are mobile. There is no workshop for customers to visit.
Google calls that a service-area business. You hide the street address and set the area you cover instead. You are ranking across the area you drive to rather than around a shopfront. Everything else works the same way.
Are these fake reviews?
No. Every request goes out at handover, to a driver who has just collected a car you actually worked on. We never write a review, never buy one, and never offer a driver anything in exchange. Google suspends profiles for that.
I run two units in different towns.
Each site is priced on its own, at $79 each. Google ranks each address separately, so the second unit needs its own profile, its own reviews and its own map. Being first in one town does nothing for you in the other.
See what a stranded driver sees.
Thirty seconds, no card. You get your map, the jobs missing from your profile, and the garages taking your calls.
